No amount of Marketing is ever going to compensate for the direct and cutting dynamic that a Sales person brings to the table.
I receive on average 10 – 15 Emails a day trying to sell me anything from Office Supplies, Recruitment Advertising to Investing in a Property Portfolio.
I only wish I had the money to Invest in Overseas Property, but the point I am trying to make is that not once have I ever bought anything from an unsolicited Email.
Digital Marketing, SEO, Website Content all have their place in producing results; but at every point in a business the Return On Investment (RoI) ratio needs to be applied.
Ask your-self how much did you spend on Marketing last year, and how much revenue can be exactly attributed to this?
Cold calling has come in for some bad press recently, no doubt leaked by the many Online Marketing Companies out there, but having meet, interviewed and witnessed some of the best Sales People at their best; there is and never will be a substitute for Sales Executive picking up the phone and saying hello.
