The three-martini lunch is making a comeback! It seems to me Lunch is no longer just about grabbing a quick bite at your desk. Instead, it’s going back to what it uses to be, a great opportunity for business development.
The traditional three-martini lunch involved people gathering for a business meeting, often in a restaurant or private setting. The host would order drinks and appetizers, followed by entrees and dessert, and you would get a chance to really speak with your client.
Too often in business we have confused activity with productivity, instead of really sitting down and understanding the problems are clients are having and how we can fix them, we expect a 30 minute Zoom Call will allow use to engage, emphasise with and get to the bottom of complex systems or product problems are client suffering from.
What I suggest to all the Sales Executive I represent get out and meet your clients and importantly bring them out for a boozy lunch, trust me, loyalty in business is built through relationships.
